About The Artist

Photography has been an interest of mine for over 40 years, but it has only been in the past 15 years, with the advent of digital technology, that my interest has grown into a passion. My early work was in a home black and white darkroom, where I experienced the magic of having images appear in the developer under the "red" safety lights. A number of moves and job changes during my professional years resulted in the loss of my darkroom and limited time for photography. Lack of control over my images after the shutter click was a serious frustration until I discovered Adobe Photoshop® almost 15 years ago. The ability to bring my images into the "digital darkroom" and have control over the image editing process was MAGIC and I have been hooked ever since. I became completely digital with an early 2 megapixel Kodak camera and an Epson printer and finally had control over my images from composition to print. Early in my photographic career I spent quite a bit of time imitating images taken by other photographers. I have used the power of the "digital darkroom" to create unique images using High Dynamic Range bracketed exposures as well as more traditional digital processing. I hope you enjoy and are inspired by these images.
